In this painting, wildflowers are gracefully displayed in jewel tones along the Columbia River, in Portland, Oregon. This acrylic painting was completed while living in floating home herons and swallows, and busy beavers were with me painting. Sometimes floating logs would pass by the floating home on the river carrying flowers and gifts from Mother Nature. 

Purple blends the warm hues of red with the cool hues of blue, striking a balance that symbolizes peace and harmony. Purple is mysterious, found rarely in nature, so to find purple flowers in nature is a reason to celebrate! 

Purple flowers symbolize peace, harmony, respect, royalty, self-knowledge, and spiritual awareness. Purple relates closely to femininity while encouraging self-knowledge. 

Green is the color of life, renewal, and nature. The color green can help a person to love more, empathize, and feel compassion. 

Blue energy is pure, soothing, calming, and healing, and helps you find and use your voice. Blue can help create more harmony in your life, and cultivate forgiveness of yourself and of others.

Pink energic and youthful, feminine.
